We may change this policy from time to time in our sole discretion. Changes may be accessed through the Services. It is your responsibility to check for an updated policy. We collect personal information:
(a) from you when you first register to use the Services. If you use Facebook to login to the Services, this includes personal information you have provided to Facebook, such as your e-mail address, profile, photographs and other personal information;
(b) from you or your device, to the extent that you choose to provide or make available such information in the course of using the Services. This could include your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, age, gender, interests, contacts, photos, audio recordings, videos, your location or your interactions or communications with others;
(c) that you send to us through e-mail or other means;
(d) arising from or related to your use of the Services, such as your IP address, the type of device you use, your mobile device identification number, your location, events or activities you organize, attend or express an interest in, relationships with other users, preferences, interests, when you use the Services and which parts of the Services you access or use most frequently; and
(e) from other users who provide personal information about you using the Services. For example, if a friend uploads a photograph of you, identifies you in an event or activity in which you have participated, or identifies you as one of as a friend or contact within the Services.
(a) We use personal information to:
(i) provide the Services to you and others, including the display of content you choose to share with other users of the Services;
(ii) validate your identity and activities and to investigate actual or suspected security breaches or violations of our terms of service;
(iii) manage our relationship, including communicating with you, understanding your needs and preferences, providing assistance in using the Services, facilitating the purchase of Credits and resolving problems, disputes or claims;
(iv) develop, improve, modify or market the Services and develop new products and services;
(v) inform you of our or our partners’ offers, new products or services; and
(vi) meet legal and regulatory requirements.
(b) You may choose to share your personal information with other apps and services through the sharing function in our Services. The use of personal information by those other apps and services is subject to the applicable terms and policies of those apps and services.
(c) We disclose personal information:
(i) if you request or give us permission to do so, including through the permissions you set using the Services or if you elect to share such information with other applications or services;
(ii) to third party service providers that we use to facilitate the provision of Services, if reasonably required for those service providers to perform their obligations;
(iii) in connection with corporate transactions, such as an asset or share sale or financing;
(iv) if we reasonably believe there has been a violation of applicable law, the rights of others, or our terms of service;
(v) if there is a danger or threat to persons or property which could be reduced or avoided by such disclosure
(vi) if compelled by legal authority; and
(vii) to protect our rights or property.
(d) Without limiting the generality of the above:
(ii) third parties (including advertisers) may serve content and/or advertisements and collect information directly from you and may place or recognize cookies on your browser;
(iv) we use papertrail to manage and analyze our logs, which may contain your personal information. Personal information disclosed to papertrail is subject to their Software Services Agreement.
(e) Personal information may be stored or processed outside of Canada, and may therefore be subject to the jurisdiction of other countries.
(f) We do not collect or disclose personal information for purposes other than for which it has been collected, and only retain personal information for so long as reasonably required for such purposes.
(a) You may update, correct or remove all personal information you input through the Services by using the functionality of the Services. However, there is a minimum amount of personal information required to maintain an account. The only manner in which to remove such personal information is to terminate your account. You should however be aware that personal information you remove may be entered by another user of the Services.
(b) If you terminate your account, we will remove your personal information in the normal course of operations, unless reasonably required to perform the Services, to avoid or defend a legal claim or if we are compelled by legal authority to retain it.
We use security practices and procedures that are consistent with industry standards with a view to safeguarding personal information. While we strive to protect personal information, we cannot and do not guarantee the security of personal information.
